A message from Sean Flowerdew, organiser of the London International Ska Festival which the Save London Music Campaign has been supporting through its fundraising appeal.
Good morning all,
I would like to say a very heart-felt thank you to all of you who supported our #SaveTheSkaFest crowdfunder.
As you know we needed to raise £20,000 in 28 days to clear part of the £50,000 worth of historic debts.
And through your amazing support we did it. Thank you! The London Intl Ska Festival lives to fight on!
The London International Ska Festival will return to the capital next Easter (18-21 April 2019) for it’s 31st anniversary year!
With an eye very much on the future my aim for the festival moving forward is to present a radical new event, with our trademark world exclusive shows and a stronger focus on the raft of talent that’s playing around the world today. With that in mind the first bands announced are some of the best new bands playing ska, rocksteady and boss reggae in the world today; Chris Murray (from Canada via LA), Le Birrette (from Italy), Masons Arms (from Germany), King Zepha and The Indecision (both from UK). Watch this space for further event and line up details!
We, of course, will still have legends galore as well! And with it being 2 Tone’s 40th anniverary next year we have a very special and world exclusive event planned!
Wristband tickets for the whole event are available now from www.buytickets.at/hotshotscorcher
Individual event tickets and line up announcements will be made shortly.
Thank you again.
